Description

The SSD7580B is the industrys fastest single-card PCIe Gen4 NVMe RAID Solution. The dedicated PCIe 4.0 x16 host interface and 8 independent device channels are capable of supporting over 100TB of hot-swappable NVMe storage, at speeds up to 28,000MB/s! Due to the compact dimensions and half-height form factor, the SSD7580B can be easily installed into nearly any industry standard PC-based server, workstation and rackmount platform. Dedicated PCIe 40 x16 host interface and industry-proven NVMe RAID technology enables the SSD7580B to tackle an immense range of high-performance applications such as AI training and analysis, high-speed data acquisition and security solutions, scientific modeling, imaging systems, 3D rendering and design, and HD media production and editing platforms. Streamline Field Service Workflows: Add or Remove NVMe SSDs on the Fly! The SSD7580B features true NVMe Surprise Add & Remove technology This breakthrough feature eliminates the need to power down or reboot a system in order to insert or eject NVMe SSDs. Customers are free to change, upgrade or replace individual SSDs, or entire RAID arrays, on the fly! Hot-Swap and Hot-Plug VS. Hot-Replaceable: whats the difference? In the recent past, replacing an NVMe SSD meant powering down the entire host platform. More recent solutions may employ Hot-Replaceable technology; the ability to recognize drives added for specific tasks. For example, unused SSDs already connected to the controller may be used to rebuild an array in some scenarios. However, the system must be rebooted in order for the operating system to recognize the hardware changes. The SSDS7580B represents a major breakthrough for NVMe-based storage applications. Its Hot-Plug and Hot-Swap capability works exactly like you expect it to. Like a conventional SAS RAID solution, administrators can now add or remove NVMe SSDs and arrays on the fly, as necessity demands. The SSD7580B will notify the system of any changes in real time; the host system can remain active throughout the procedure. Versatile Cabling Options The SSD7580Bs Hot-Plug capability works with a variety of industry standard connectors not just SFF-8639, which is employed directly by U.2 media. We offer a selection of PCIe Gen4 capable cabling accessories capable of supporting hot-swappable storage configurations, including SFF-8643 connections and SFF08611 Oculink backplanes. This allows the SSD7580B to support any industry standard U.2 or M.2 NVMe SSD. Supports Multi-RAID, Mixed RAID & RAID arrays + Single-SSD Configurations The SSD7580B is capable of supporting one or more RAID 0, 1 or 10 arrays, mixed RAID configurations such as a RAID 0 alongside a RAID 1 array, or a combination of arrays and single disks. Supports Bootable or Data-only Storage Configurations: In addition, the SSD7580B is capable of hosting bootable RAID arrays and single SSDs for Windows and Linux-based platforms. RAID Roaming Simplifies Replacement & Upgrade Procedures The SSD7580Bs RAID Roaming capability simplifies upgrade and replacement procedures, as customers can migrate SSDs from one controller to another, without having to start from scratch or recover an array. The controller is also capable of recognizing arrays created with other SSD7000 and SSD7500 series controllers, even if the SSDs are moved to different ports.
