This feature offers a specific set of advantages for users in scenarios where they constantly need convenience and ease of accessibility to the expansion cards, or if rear access may be restricted where maintenance and upgrades without requiring extensive disassembly. In the RM47-502-I, the case features a thoughtful design that allows not only the expansion slots to be interchanged, but the internal configuration can also be adjusted for the position of the PSU mount, and 5.25" drive cage; to better accommodate specific hardware requirement or user preferences. The handle bar position and rail installation direction can also be swapped from front to back, facilitating improved airflow and cooling efficiency, while contributing to the overall functionality and ease of use of rackmount cases. The RM47-502-I is equipped with 8 low-profile expansion slots plus 3 full height expansion slots in a vertical orientation. This vertical slots design allows the seamless installation of high-end cards such as RTX 4090 without the power connector intruding with the top panel. The RM46-502-I, on the other hand has 8 full height expansion slots in the standard horizontal orientation, but cannot comfortably fit larger cards that exceed standard room offered in 4U chassis. An expansion card retainer with vertical arms, has also been incorporated into the RM47-502-I, but differs significantly from the RM46-502-I as it needs to accommodate a vertically positioned graphics card. This variation prompted the design of an additional retainer bracket to ensure a proper secure placement of the vertical mounted card.
