The LaCie 2big .Dual features convenient plug & play setup for connecting the 2big to your computer via eSATA or Hi-Speed USB 2.0. Windows and Mac compatible, the 2big Dual is perfect for storing large photo libraries, backing up web servers, and for use with video editing applications. To facilitate clean, multi-stream video playback with real time effects, select FAST mode (RAID 0) for blazing-fast speed when used in combination with the latest eSATA interface. FAST mode uses the 2big�s two SATA drives simultaneously to deliver maximum playback performance of 8�bit or 10�bit uncompressed SD and High Definition Video (HDV) or Digital Video (DV) formats. Featuring six different RAID modes, the LaCie 2big Dual offers ease and flexibility. Simply select your RAID level with the switch on the back, without having to make any changes on your computer. For maximum security, choose one of the three RAID 1 mirroring modes. If one drive fails in RAID 1, auto-rebuild and hot-swappable drives ensure complete security of your data. The LaCie 2big Dual�s superior design is attractive, compact and allows for capacity up to 2TB. The heat sink metal design naturally draws heat away from the hard disk�s internal components to help keep it cool and improve reliability. With versatile desktop configurations, such as vertical, horizontal, stacked or rack-mounted, it has a place in every work environment. System Requirements: Computer with an eSATA port with Port Multiplier support or USB 2.0 port.
