The LaCie 4TB Ethernet Disk RAID is the essential storage solution for small office network environments. Costing less than big file servers, it easily manages shared files and features remote bootability and system backup and recovery. Configuration is easy with its informative wizards and helpful web interface. The LaCie Ethernet Disk RAID not only provides massive data storage but can also act as a DHCP server (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). The second Gigabit Ethernet port allows for creating your own local network. By offering two extra USB 2.0 expansion ports, additional external USB hard drives can be attached for more storage. Thanks to the email notification feature, reports of basic activity, backup jobs and critical system errors can be sent via email to multiple recipients. Complete data protection is provided through support for various RAID levels and hot-swappable disks. With the convenient web interface, simply chose one of the 5 configurations that best matches your needs: RAID 0, 1, 5, 5+spare, or 10. Four removable SATA hard disks in trays are included that can easily be replaced. Limiting access to shared folders via user or group authentication provides additional security. Even control whether users can view information in shared folders or add, modify, or delete files. The Windows Backup and Recovery Software* (Please delete: *)enables easy backup of files from your PC to the LaCie Ethernet Disk RAID, providing reliable data protection and rapid data recovery in the event of a system crash or disk failure. This application is a powerful tool for clients running on a Windows operating system allowing recovery of your local disks or partitions without having to reinstall or reconfigure the operating system or applications, dramatically shortening recovery time.
